Terms and Conditions

Important Information about booking events. Please review this information carefully before making your booking. 

 

  1. Bookings for Art Classes (‘Class(es)’) are subject to the following terms:
     
    1. All bookings are subject to available places in the Classes.
       
    2. Classes are booked in blocks of five Classes (‘Class Block’), each Class being two hours in duration. 
       
    3. Your booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received. Once payment is received, you will be credited with five ‘Class Credits’.
       
    4. One Class Credit will be used on each attendance at a Class, reducing the total Class Credits remaining in the Class Block by one.
       
    5. Attendance at Classes must be confirmed by the Tuesday preceding the Class date. This is then a Confirmed Attendance. Attendance at Classes is subject to availability.  Later requests for confirmation of attendance will be considered where there is availability.
       
    6. Subject to the following pre-notification all five Class Credits booked must be used by Confirmed Attendance within eight weeks of attendance at the first Class in the Class Block booked.You may pre-notify A Cup of JoJo in advance of planned travel dates in which case the eight week period may be extended but in the absence of such notification and extension Class Credits in the current Class Block will not be refunded or reallocated.
       
    7. Cancellation of a Confirmed Attendance, or non-attendance at a Confirmed Attendance, will be treated as one of the Classes in the Class Block booked and will reduce the Class Credits by one accordingly. No refunds will be made for cancellation or non-attendance at a Confirmed Attendance.
       
    8. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule Classes where necessary. In the unlikely event of cancellation by us, we will endeavour to reschedule the Classes at a time and date to suit the attendees. If you are unable to attend a Class rescheduled by us, your Class Credits from your booked Class Block will not be reduced.

 

  1. Bookings for Art Workshops (Workshop(s)) are subject to the following terms:
     
    1. All bookings are subject to available places in the Workshop.
       
    2. Your Workshop booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received. 
       
    3. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule Workshops where necessary. In the event of cancellation by us you will be offered a place at the rescheduled Workshop or, if you are unable to attend on the rescheduled date, you will receive a full refund.
       
    4. If you wish to cancel your booking for a Workshop then you will need to give a minimum of 28 days’ notice prior to the Workshop date. You will receive a full refund for cancellations where more than 28 days notice is given. If you cancel a Workshop you have booked within 28 days of the Workshop Date, you can transfer your booking to another individual to attend in your place with no penalty. No refunds will be provided where less than 28 days’ notice of cancellation is received and where the cancelled booking has not been transferred to another individual.
       
    5. Full details for the Workshop you have booked into will be sent to you via email within 10 days of the start of the workshop.

 

  1. General conditions:
     
    1. Owing to the nature of working with paint and art materials, we advise you to wear old clothes to all Classes and Workshops. We take no responsibility for damages incurred to your property at Classes or Workshops. Your personal items are your responsibility.
       
    2. Any special considerations that we should be aware of must be advised prior to booking and we will do our best to accommodate you. Should it become apparent that these considerations will not be able to be accommodated, we will provide a full refund of unused Class Credits or unused Workshop places if a confirmed booking has already been made.
       
    3. A Cup of JoJo provides food and refreshments at its Classes and Workshops. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate your needs, there is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all intolerances or allergies. It is your responsibility to let A Cup of JoJo know about any food allergies or restrictions prior to booking and to ensure your safety whilst attending Classes and Workshops.
       
    4. You are welcome to take photographs of your own artwork in progress. You will need to get the permission of other artists to take photographs of their work. 
      Note that Cup of JoJo representatives may take photographs and videos throughout the Classes and Workshops. These photographs and videos may or may not be used for marketing purposes including (but not limited to) use in websites, social media, blogs, advertising, print media and more. If you do not wish to be in photographs or videos, or give your consent for your images to be used for marketing purposes, then it is your responsibility to inform a Cup of JoJo representative at the start of the Class or Workshop. Failure to notify will mean your acceptance of these terms of use for photographic and video material.

       
    5. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 (and any statutory modification or re-enactment of the same) you agree to us processing your personal data and holding the same on our databases.
       
    6. By making a booking either in person by telephone or on our website you are accepting these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
